Clinical Research

The "bulb grip device." Standard arm position after a rotator cuff repair. The patient can easily grip the bulb in his left hand (see picture insert). The bulb is connected to the transducer fixed on his chest. The electrical signal is transmitted to the recorder located on the left of the patient

The clinical research is divided in research on human models (healthy volunteers) and research on the patient. Research on healthy volunteers addresses special questions which must be analysed on a standardised model (pain model, ischaemia-reperfusion model, sedation model) with maximal reduction of any confounding factor. Research on patients focuses rather on the optimisation of clinical standards but also includes the study and introduction of new techniques. Our clinic also participates in multicentre studies if these address a question of interest for our patients. Clinical research is divided in different interest fields:

Pain Therapy

Regional Anaesthesia

General Anaesthesia

Organ Protection
