Continuity
After initial rehabilitation, we assign all patients with spinal paralysis a doctor to act as a permanent contact person. This doctor has access to the clinics entire diagnostic and therapeutic infrastructure.

Early detection and prevention
We offer our patients regular check-ups with a view to quickly detecting and dealing with any difficulties that they may experience in returning to their normal environment. This approach covers medical, psychosocial and career-related aspects. We also determine whether aids should be adapted or whether additional therapeutic measures are required.

An interdisciplinary approach
We perform neurological and urological tests and deal with spasticity, pain and skin problems as a matter of course. Multidisciplinary cooperation, both within Balgrist University Hospital and with other specialist clinics, enables us to provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of complex problems too.

Close cooperation with referring doctors
We attach great importance to communication with general practitioners, other referring doctors and home care providers. This cooperation allows complications to be detected and treated quickly, thus improving patients quality of life and reducing treatment costs.
