Wound consultation
Balgrist University Hospital offers outpatient wound consultations by wound experts (nurses with certificates in wound management). The wound experts are supported by doctors as they exercise their profession, and there is regular interdisciplinary exchange.
Services
- Follow-up care for discharged patients with wounds
- Treatment of wounds, whether simple or complex, in internally referred patients
- Continuous wound treatment
- Advice on matters relating to wound management for inpatients, outpatients and externally referred patients
- Interdisciplinary cooperation with the orthopaedic technology, orthopaedic shoe technology, Tec Shop (supplying aids) and plaster (total contact casting) teams.
