There are still patients for whom an illness or an accident leads to major financial difficulties. The sudden inability of a self-employed father to work, the illness of a mother with young children or a serious illness or disability affecting a child can all generate considerable financial burdens. Fortunately, Balgrist University Hospital has its own patient assistance fund that enables us to help many patients and their friends and families directly, with no complications.
