Events and conferences

Our events aim to transfer the latest knowledge and skills to medical students, specialists and other medical experts without delay.

In addition to our normal lectures and courses, we also offer various formats for further and professional training, depending on the time available and the amount of detail required:

  • Short lectures by guest speakers
  • Half-day ‘orthopaedics update’ sessions on a specific topic
  • Workshops / courses on specific extremities
  • Radiology courses

Apart from the detailed course description below, we have planned the following events for 2012

Course on Orthopedic Examinations for GPs March 29-30, 2012

The most important orthopedic examination techniques and disease patterns are taught and discussed by means of lectures and practical workshops 

  • Thursday, March 29th: Hip / Knee / Foot / Children's Walking Patterns / Preoperative issues before orthopedic operations
  • Friday, March 20th: Shoulder / Elbow / Hand / Spine

Orthopedics Update «Sports medicine for the orthopedist» April 19, 2012 (pm)

Balgrist move>med invites you to their first «Orthopedics Update» in sports medicine

  • Objectives:
    - to acquire the latest insights and developments in sports medicine
    - to enable personal contacts with opinion leaders
    - «non-orthopedic» pitfalls in sports medicine illustrated by means of practical examples

Interactive MR-Seminar for Clinicians, module I: lower extremities June 14, 2012
Venue Auditorium at Balgrist University Hospital
Topic

After last year's success we are pleased to announce the first of two modules of the MR-Seminar especially for clinicians that deal with issues of the musculoskeletal system: Orthopedists, Rheumatologists, Sports Physicians and General Practitioners. Main topics will be:

  • Technique in MR
  • Indication for body imaging
  • Electronic image data
  • Clinical cases

We offer the possibility to attend only the "theory" block in the morning or only the seminars in the afternoon.
