The Ilizarov technique is a powerful tool for foot and ankle surgeons. We routinely use the Ilizarov ring fixator, especially for complex cases. The technique is demanding and complex. Not only does the assembly of the ringfixateur needs experience but also the reconstruction of the foot in the first step is challenging.
The course aims to provide knowledge, tips and tricks and hands-on experience in using the ring fixator and to address the underlying pathologies. In the morning we will teach you the theoretical knowledge and in the afternoon we focus on hands-on practise with specimen at our surgical research and training facility Operating Room X (OR-X).
We are looking forward to your participation.
