Research paraplegia

The research laboratory of the Spinal Cord Injury Centre at Balgrist University Hospital is engaged in current basic research into spinal injuries and developing new methods of treatment for people with paraplegia and tetraplegia.

Balgrist Campus – the unique building complex for research on the musculoskeletal system – is home to research groups working in various fields but under the same roof, guaranteeing the direct exchange of ideas and experience.

Team

Our team consists of movement scientists, engineers, doctors, and therapists, who work together on new approaches, interpret the findings, and implement them in rehabilitation.
