Dr. Hupp works as a consultant at the Center for Paraplegia and in the Department of Neurology and Neurophysiology. He studied human medicine in Würzburg, Germany, from 1999 to 2005. Dr. Hupp completed his further training as a specialist in neurology in Bamberg, Würzburg and Frankfurt am Main in Germany. Dr. Hupp worked at Balgrist University Hospital from 2013 to 2018 and returned to the clinic in 2024 after completing additional training in palliative medicine in Berlin, Germany. His clinical focus is on the treatment of people with spinal cord injuries and diseases, as well as diseases and injuries of peripheral nerves. In addition, Dr. Hupp specializes in the treatment of spasticity using botolinum toxin and intrathecal baclofen. His research activities focus on spinal cord imaging with the aim of improving patient treatment.
