Anita Hasler is a consultant in orthopaedics at Balgrist University Hospital. She studied human medicine at the University of Zurich, graduating in 2010. She completed her specialist training from 2011 to 2016 at Balgrist University Hospital and corresponding rotations in the Zurich area at Balgrist's partner hospitals. During her specialist training, she also completed a one-year traumatology-orthopaedic fellowship at the clinically and academically renowned University Hospital ("Royal Infirmary") in Edinburgh (UK). This was followed by a fellowship in shoulder surgery with Prof. Gerber at Balgrist University Hospital. In order to receive in-depth training in reconstructive surgery, Dr. Hasler underwent further training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Aarau Cantonal Hospital and successfully passed the EBOPRAS exam (The European Board Examination in Plastic Surgery) in 2023. Since August 2024, Dr. Hasler has been a double specialist with a second specialist title: Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. In addition to her clinical work, she is also active in research with a focus on shoulder prosthetics and basic and clinical research into the rotator cuff. The research results are regularly presented at national and international conferences and published in specialist journals.

Bone and soft tissue surgery

PD Dr Daniel Müller and his team carry out the diagnostic work-up, treatment, and care of patients with bone or soft-tissue tumours. The initial work-up includes coordinating clinical findings, diagnostic imaging and, whenever necessary, detailed examination of biopsy material to provide the definitive diagnosis.
